My Eyebrow Essentials

When it comes to eyebrows, I’m pretty sure we all went several phases before finding the right one for us. Even so, it’s still evolving because we’ll find different ways to improve it or adjust it every now and then. Moreover, finding the products that suit the skin and the color of the brows can be quite challenging on its own. One thing for sure, there are times when I look back and say “what was I thinking with these brows?!”.

After passing a few of awkward periods, I’m finally happy with the brow routine that I’m in. The product selections are right for my skin tone and work well with the natural condition of my brows; fairly thin, but dark hair and a little sparse.

Full details after the jump!

My Picks for Easy Contour and Subtle Shadows

It’s true. Makeup are there to make us look prettier. It’s there to enhance our features. To make us more confident. And there’s nothing wrong with that.

As for myself, I feel my face lacks the definition, stronger lines. I opt for contour powders to make up what’s missing. Below, I’m going to share you the products that I use to achieve it.

Complexion Routine: The Extra Mile

A couple of weeks ago, I posted a photo on my Instagram showing my makeup that I did to attend one of my high school friends’ wedding. I took this occasion as a challenge because I had PMS and my skin was breaking out pretty bad. Not just that, my skin was really dehydrated and there were quite a few of dry patches because I still had a flu back then. Bottom line, my skin wasn’t its usual self.

That day, I needed to look presentable (more than usual), polished without looking like I piled on a lot on my face; I never liked that look and I’m not about to start now. In this post, I will cover a lot of things, not just list of products, but also details on why I like them and how I use them. This way, I hope that I also can share my complexion makeup routine.

That being said, this is going to be a LONG post. Brace yourself. Grab a popcorn.

Without further adieu, here’s what I did and use on my complexion:

Never Forget – Inner Corner Highlight!

One of the most-asked questions I got from people on my Instagram, emails and in real life is what I use on my inner corners in my eye makeup. Well, before I sound like a broken record, I think it’s wise to just make a post about it!

Inner corner highlight is an integral part of my eye makeup. It’s highly crucial that I never missed this step. The one time that I did forget, I felt something big was missing. My makeup didn’t feel complete without it.

See, the thing is, highlighting the inner corners does so many good things to my eyes and overall makeup look. It gives more definition to my eyes and creates an illusion of a bigger, wider set of eyes. I also think it makes the sides of my nose appear slimmer when paired with a nose contour.

And of course, it makes me look AWAKE.

Warm Eyes with Marc Jacobs Beauty Style Eye Con No.3 – The Glam

Here I am, back again with yet another effort in jazzing up my eye makeup. I can honestly say I’m having quite a lot of fun experimenting. Nothing advanced though like a lot of people out there. Just something to push me a little bit more to the edge.

The eye shadows that I’ve been playing around with lately are from Marc Jacobs Beauty Style Eye Con No.3 – 108 The Glam; which I received during the brand’s official launch in Sephora Indonesia (thank you!).

Shall we take a look?

7 Best Holiday Red Lipsticks 2014

It all started when @caroleinne tagged me to do a #redlipstickweek on Instagram. Basically, just choose and post 7 best red lipsticks that we have. Because it was done in December 2014, I thought it’s quite appropriate to have a holiday theme in mind.

This post will be a recap of all the 7 lipsticks that I chose. I am aware it’s probably counter-productive; it’s been more than 2 months ago since I did the tag. But, hopefully this post will help people who are looking for some good reds for their lips.
