Bioré Makeup Remover for Eye and Lip – Pow Wow

November 11, 2014

There is one product that I always use before I start the whole double cleansing ordeal at night. I have been using it for as long as I can remember, I believe it’s not too long after it was launched to the public.

Bioré Makeup Remover for Eye and Lip.

It might look simple and inessential, but I honestly CAN’T LIVE without it. As the name says, it’s a makeup remover for eye makeup and lipstick. The hardest part for me is to remove mascara without losing my-already-limited amount of eyelashes. I don’t like to use cleansing oil to remove them because I have to emulsify it in order to cleanse it and it usually ends up getting inside my sensitive eyes, making them blurry. Plus, with cleansing oil, I feel I can’t reach into the roots of my lashes and waterline without suffering temporary blindness. Oh, the whole sensitive eye thing.

So, Bioré it is. And it’s so fantastic.

Because I feel it’s going to be pointless raving about this makeup remover to no end, I’m just going to show you how amazeballs this is.

I had my arm swatched with Bobbi Brown Gel Liner in Black Ink, K-Palette 1 Day Tattoo Real Lasting Eyeliner Waterproof in Black, DiorShow Liner Waterproof Plum, Maybelline Falsies mascara, Milani Limited Edition Lash Art Colored Mascara in Azure, Tom Ford Lip Color Diabolique and Guerlain Rouge G L’Extrait in Colère.

Shake the bottle well until the two liquids mixed together and pour about this much on a cotton pad. If you zoom in on the photo, you can see that I didn’t cover the whole cotton pad with the liquid. Less than three quarter, give or take.

Be ready. This is the result with just one wipe.

Wipe off a few more times and voilà.

The aftermath cotton pad, which still has an untouched area on the bottom left there. Come on, is this incredible or what?!

Note that I didn’t use any pressure when wiping these off, in general I never really have to. The liquid disintegrates the products efficiently and so quickly. This is a life-saver especially when removing layers and layers of mascara I piled on. It is a breeze, let me tell you that. Sometimes, when the mascara’s thicker than usual, I would just place the cotton pad on my eyes for a few seconds before removing it. This makeup remover takes off lip colors very well too. Some lip colors do leave a stain on my lips, which is normal anyway. But the important point is that the product that sits on top of my lips is gone when wiped off. I almost need no time at all to remove all of my eye + lip makeup, with just the use of a single cotton pad. Efficient, indeed.

With Bioré Makeup Remover, I never experience any irritation on my eyes whatsoever. Definitely gentle for the eyes and that’s a HUGE plus point.

I share this with my mom, so it takes about 4 months or so to finish a bottle, which is quite a while in my opinion. Because I’m so attached to this, I always keep several backups, two minimum. I always go frantic whenever I’m running out and forgot to stock up 😀

What’s your favorite eye + lip makeup remover?

Update: this product is no longer available locally in Indonesia. The closest I can find it is at Singapore, Malaysia and Bangkok.

BASIC SKINCARE ROUTINE

Cleanse – Hydrate – Moisturize – Protect (SPF)

Double Cleanse at night, a must!
Sunscreen at daytime, always – after moisturizer.

Exfoliate regularly, as necessary, and don’t overdo it.
Don’t forget to use a Hydrating Toner after Exfoliating Acid Toner to prevent dryness and irritation.

Opt for calming and soothing products more than anything else. Pick gentle cleansers. Aim for hydration and moisture. Maintain the skin barrier.

Proper hydration and balanced moisturization are key to achieving a healthy skin, even if your skin is oily.

Always be gentle on your skin.

Between that and me starting to work out again, pastinya aku lebih sering iket rambut juga. Of course, aku uda mulai bisa liat helaian rambut yg rontok lebih banyak, terutama pas saat keramas… atau tiba2 ada random sehelai dua helai di badanku yg bikin tergelitik setengah annoyed karena gatel 😌

Kira-kira aku bakal kuat gak ya mempertahankan niatku 🤔

Kalian gimana? Curhat juga dong hair concern kalian..
