Menard Authent Mask – First Impressions

About a couple months ago, I was given an opportunity to attend Menard‘s 55th anniversary and new product launch, AUTHENT Mask. The brand collaborated with Sociolla in this event, which was held in Raffles Hotel Jakarta. The invitees were up for some lush pampering. We got to stay overnight in the 5-star hotel, enjoyed facials by Menard‘s trained beauty specialists and tried out the new mask.

The AUTHENT line itself is the most luxurious out of all Menard’s lineups. The Authent Cream, pictured below, is prized at IDR 12,000,000 (around USD 870) and it is the crème de la crème of their offerings. The cream has the ability to regenerate stem cells and help restore that youthful glow to the skin. While it is the star, we’re here to discover the AUTHENT Mask. To cut things short, I will share you my first impressions on this beautiful mask.

When I think of Neal’s Yard Remedies, the first thing that came to mind is its supposedly famous Wild Rose Beauty Balm. It can be used in multiple ways; as a rich cleanser, gentle exfoliant and deeply nourishing balm. Sounds interesting, doesn’t it? But we’re here not to talk about the beauty balm.

Came a chance when a dear friend on her travels mentioned she saw this brand’s counter. She made the kind offer if I’d like something from it. Naturally, I opened up the website and looked around to see what peaked my interest the most. There were many, many temptations. Somehow though, this particular product just made me wanted to grab it out of my laptop’s screen right away.

Diptyque For The Face – Sensory Sophistication

diptyque is known for their luxurious, fancy scented candles and fragrances. I’m not really into them because I find them (the candles) to be too high of a maintenance for me. Besides, from what I’ve seen so far, a lot of people buy them for the decorative quality of it. You know, for the extra likes in the Instagram photo. Not for the actual lit action. Sure, I can re-use the glass container for my makeup brushes. But I just think that’s not enough to justify the purchase.

That being said, I am interested in the skincare line, L’Art du Soin (for the Face), which I wrote about my interest in them sometime ago here. To my surprise, they are available locally in The Papilion Duo, Pacific Place, Jakarta. Sadly, the mark-up was a little too much for me.

I knew, however, that I can get them in Hong Kong, in Joyce Beauty to be exact.
That’s where I got them.

Innisfree Haul – Straight from Korea!

I had mentioned sometime ago that the only Korean brand that I’m interested in (as of now) is Innisfree. The brand is simple, low profile with its natural ingredients and green approach. It has a lot of charm but doesn’t have that fancy-schmancy, full of gimmick-thing going on.

When my cousin told me about her plans visiting Korea and her, being so kind had offered if I wanted something from there, naturally, I said “Innisfree!”

I set up a list and she managed to get them all 😀

Thanks to my friend, Amalia, I got hooked on Menard skincare. And thanks to her again, she tipped me on this awesome product I’m about to review. I didn’t need much convincing that I bought it right away.
