Glitter Gradient with Cirque

October 2, 2014

My first encounter with Cirque polishes was around last year. Well actually, I’ve never even heard of indie polishes before, nor dabbed around with glitters. I’ve always thought they were a pain to remove, until I read the foil technique (I was itching to try this!). Based on the gorgeous swatches across the nail blogs, I decided to go ahead and purchased 6 of them, at once. Boy, Cirque really changed my mind about glitters. Soon enough, my collection is now twice the size.

This particular nail art was one of my first ventures dabbling with gradients. And to date, this is still one of my favorite looks.

LoTW: Innisfree Vivid Tint Rouge #1

October 1, 2014

I have never dwell around Korean beauty brands. I’ve always been skeptical about them. With the whole K-Pop and K-dramas going insanely popular, it’s natural that the beauty brands got into the spotlight as well. But yeah, I haven’t succumbed into the whole hype yet. I just find most of them to be too gimmicky *sorry!*

The first Korean brand that I tried was actually Innisfree. I went for a sleepover with my cousin and she gave me this Innisfree mask as a care package. She also got me a body lotion, green tea I think, from the same brand. I’ve never used it because I’m a complete lazy-bum for body care products.

Anyway, that was a couple years ago and that was that. One day, this friend of mine, Attika, brought this product during our regular meetups and I was wowed by it. Needless to say, she’s such an enabler.

Red on Red Tonal Look

September 29, 2014

I’m seeing a lot of red this season. A lot of red on the eyes. I’ve even mentioned the uncanny resemblance here and I had an idea of my interpretation. The inspiration, first and foremost, was by ADDICTION by Ayako. The brand released a Fall Winter 2014 Collection called Tokyo Story. And at almost the same time, the brand releases a limited-edition eyeshadow palette to celebrate its 5th Anniversary.

I mean, come on, how can I not resist that?! Well, I did resist buying it because the neutrals look way too similar to my ADDICTION Sugar Rusk palette and I can’t be bothered by buying something so similar, even if it’s limited edition. Lipsticks, however, are a completely different matter, though :p

I am not ready for an eye-searing red eyeshadow. I am, however, ready for red eyeliners. Now, I should underline it first that you should never try this at home*.

Polka Dot Festival Nails

September 25, 2014

Polka dots are quite possibly the easiest nail art that anyone can master, even if you’re just a novice. You don’t have to use dotting tools, you can just use items around the house as substitute e.g. end of a bobby pin, toothpick, an unused ballpoint pen, round head pin.. Basically anything that has a round end to it, that you can make a dot with.

That being said though, I found having an actual set of dotting tools makes my nail-art life easier. It’s super affordable and an investment in itself.

For this polka dot nail art, I wanted to have something super colorful. In any nail art session, selecting color combination is always fun (sometimes stressful because I’m indecisive like that) and crucial in my book. This is the color palette I came up with:

Burberry Warm Glow Natural Bronzer No.01 – A Warm Veil for The Complexion

September 24, 2014

If you follow me on Female Daily, you would know that I have a deep affinity to Burberry Beauty. The UK brand remains to be one of my favorite beauty brands of all time. In my opinion, Burberry is one of the few fashion brands that managed to do a beauty line successfully. The collection and the execution is truly in line with Burberry’s image of effortless and timeless beauty.

Quite a while ago, I managed to do a bit of Burberry haul (here and there). I was ecstatic that I got a free GWP of a full-sized Burberry Warm Glow. It’s the one product I’ve been meaning to try ever since I landed on my first Burberry products a couple of years ago. YAY!

Feeling perky: KORRES Wild Rose + Vitamin C Sleeping Facial

September 22, 2014

I remember I wanted this product for the longest time. Actually, it came in a set with the Wild Rose Buff Cleanser which I missed out on and was bummed about it. Then lady luck was on my side and the set came out again a few months later in Sephora. The set was sold for US$48, a good price isn’t it? The Sleeping Facial alone was US$48. So really, the Buff Cleanser is the bonus here. I didn’t think twice and I snatched it up, quickly!

The complete name is KORRES Wild Rose + Vitamin C Advanced Brightening Sleeping Facial. It’s a mouthful, I usually just refer it as KORRES Wild Rose Sleeping Facial.

Wishlist: Lipstick Queen Velvet Rope Lipsticks

September 19, 2014

I think I knew that I’m going to have a serious addiction with red lipsticks the moment I bought my first. There are just tons of reasons why I love these red pouts. That being said though, I do not just buy all the reds that I see. I handpicked them carefully. It’s a curated collection. Well, it applies to all of my lipsticks really, but I’m more selective when it comes to reds. Extra selective.

Comes in Lipstick Queen Velvet Rope Lipsticks, my latest lemming.

BASIC SKINCARE ROUTINE

Cleanse – Hydrate – Moisturize – Protect (SPF)

Sunscreen at daytime, always.
Double Cleanse at night, a must!

Exfoliate regularly, as necessary, and don’t overdo it.
Don’t forget to use a Hydrating Toner after Exfoliating Acid Toner to prevent dryness and irritation.

Opt for calming and soothing products more than anything else. Pick gentle cleansers. Aim for hydration and moisture. Maintain the skin barrier.

Proper hydration and balanced moisturization are key to achieving a healthy skin, even if your skin is oily.

Always be gentle on your skin.

Apart from adding soy sauce, I could also add white pepper or Togarashi for some heat. I think it’s best to keep the flavors on the simpler side, that’s the charm of it ✨

It’s so warm & comforting. Pak D ended up having seconds, thirds and finished the entire pot 🥺

It’s only the first month of 2023 and I can see It’s only the first month of 2023 and I can see myself using @lancomeofficial Rénergie Triple Serum all year round!

I was already intrigued by the serum when I saw it a few months ago. I remember I pumped the bottle and got mesmerized instantly. I love smart and thoughtful formulations and this is definitely one of them!

The addition of Ferulic Acid on top of Vitamin C, Niacinamide, and Hyaluronic Acid work not only as a potent antioxidant in its own right (it reduces redness too), but it also boosts the performance of the Vitamin C. Together, they make some serious combination for those who are looking for a simpler routine yet impactful ✨

A month of usage but I can clearly see the difference and the potential! I personally love using this on daytime because it offers high antioxidants and it keeps my skin looking fresh even after a day’s out. At nighttime, this works to rejuvenate the skin while I’m sleeping. This one hits the sweet spot for me 👌🏼

This #LancomeID #Renergie Triple Serum is available on all Lancome counters and official store on Lazada!

If you want the simplest way, just add the olive vegetable to a warm rice and mix it together.

I add the olive vegetable after the rice because I need to adjust the flavor. I usually start with a heaping tablespoon. I’ll add more if I need it. I don’t add any more salt. I could add some pepper (or chili) though, depending on how I feel that day 😄

There are so many variations that we can do with this. Porridge also tastes bomb with this. Totally up to you! Enjoy 🫶🏼
