I thought I should share what skincare products I brought and used during my recent Japan trip. This particular one is special because I’ve yet traveled in any winter weather since I started my skincare journey few years ago. So let’s just say this is sort of an educated experiment that turned successful.
Obviously, I researched and visualized the weather conditions and temperature. It was the end of winter, coming into spring. With that in mind, I had a general idea of a set of products that I want to bring with me. Of course, they have to fit into my skincare bag. I had to negotiate here and there to make sure the bag isn’t too heavy. The total weight overall came to around 1 – 1.5 kg, I think. Or probably more *HA*. The bag did feel heavy.
Another info you need to know is I got sick a couple days before my departure. Sore throat, fatigue, headache. All escalated into one nasty cold, congestion with frequent coughing within the first few days of my trip. Thank goodness, I was prepared.
Without further adieu, let’s get to it!
My heart sang when TATCHA came out with a moisturizer as a part of their Indigo line. I love the Hand Cream and Body Butter. They’re a savior for dry and parched limbs. My sister had used them when she suffered a sunburn a few times and to treat her irritated cracked hands. They healed these conditions quickly.
By then, I thought it’d be brilliant if the brand could make a version that’s suitable for the face, because I know I could benefit from it greatly. They answered my prayers!
TATCHA Indigo Soothing Triple Recovery Cream*.
Hopefully, the title won’t offend anyone who likes the super shiny, right-in-your-face highlighters. There’s nothing wrong. It’s just not my thing and I prefer the understated, low-key makeup look in general.
Just so it’s clear, I rarely wear highlighters. I know for sure I do not master the art of highlighting. So for me to get a highlighter, in no less of a liquid formula, that’s like being obnoxious. But when I saw it on Noodles’ Instagram, I knew I can pull this off.
ADDICTION by Ayako Cheek Polish Reflection 08.
I know, the title’s cheesy. But you’ll understand why in a few minutes.
After Hallelujah, this will be my second product review from Antipodes and hey you guessed it, it’s another facial cleanser!
Antipodes Juliet Skin-Brightening Gel Cleanser*.
It’s easy to know whether you like something or not. It’s especially easy with facial cleansers. The moment you start using it every night and day, you know something is definitely up.
Without further adieu, Antipodes Hallelujah Lime & Patchouli Cleanser.
The world of KYPRIS has taken over my skincare routine, big time.
I think I kind of knew, I felt an instant chemistry with the brand with its enticing philosophy; which led me in getting all three of the serums at once. Each of them complements each other and even become a good pairing for other skincare products from different brands too.
This particular serum from the brand makes me me fall in love head over heels and it’s the fastest serum I’ve used up in quite a while. It’s saying something considering I adapt my skincare routine accordingly to my skin’s needs but this one happens to fit in most of it, if not all.
It is the KYPRIS Antioxidant Dew.
